Guidelines for signing Erasmus+ interinstitutional agreements

IIA Erasmus+ inter-institutional agreements 2021-2027 (renewal of agreements, new agreements)

According to information from the National Agency for Academic Exchange in Warsaw, the academic year 2021/2022 is a transitional year and inter-institutional agreements signed for the period 2014-2020 remain valid until they are renewed digitally, but no later than the academic year 2022/2023. This means that universities for the academic year 2021/2022 do not need to sign paper agreements.

Guidelines for signing Erasmus+ interinstitutional agreements

The AGH Centre for International Affairs maintains a register of inter-institutional agreements (IIAs) concluded within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme for 2021-2027.

Inter-institutional agreements are concluded at the request of an AGH University unit or a partner university/institution abroad.

The terms and conditions of IIAs are agreed by the Coordinators, who are employees of AGH University units, directly with the partner universities/institutions abroad. The conditions to be agreed concern:

- the type of mobility within one or more of the following categories:

  • SMS (Student Mobility for Studies) - mobility of students/doctoral students concerning the realisation of a part of studies - obligatory
  • SMT (Student Mobility for Traineeship) - mobility of students/doctoral students for practical placements - optional.
  • STA (Staff Mobility for Teaching) - mobility of academic teachers for the purpose of teaching - obligatory
  • STT (Staff Mobility for Training) - staff mobility for teaching - optional.

- mobility limits within a given mobility type - number of persons, level of studies in the case of SMS, duration of mobility at a partner university/partner institution and AGH University

- ISCED codes (Fields of Education and Training). ATTENTION: ISCED codes must correspond with the educational offer of the Faculties which exchange students can use.

- the foreign language in which the exchange will take place and the level of its proficiency

- the duration of the agreement

The agreed exchange conditions should be sent by e-mail to the CIA employee designated as the contact person for IIA agreements. The CIA employee then enters the agreed exchange conditions into the USOS system and communicates with the partner university through the EWP system, with the final result being mutual approval of the IIA agreement online in the EWP IT system.

The person authorised to approve IIA inter-institutional agreements is the Director of he Centre for International Affairs acting on the basis of a power of attorney granted.

In exceptional cases it is permissible to conclude IIA agreements in paper form. Sample agreement can be found in the Documents tab.
