T.I.M.E.

T.I.M.E. Program

T.I.M.E. Top Industrial Managers for Europe is a program of bi-cultural education ending with a double diploma, the goals and assumptions of which were formulated in 1989 by 16 European universities from 9 countries, and an association registered in 1998 at the request of 29 European universities from 12 countries in order to effectively implement the TIME program.

Currently, the T.I.M.E. Association groups 54 engineering universities from 19 countries (including the AGH University of Science and Technology, one of two Polish universities) and three non-European universities (Australia, Brazil and China).

The AGH University of Krakow was accepted to the T.I.M.E. association on October 14, 2009.

Currently, AGH cooperates with 4 universities within the T.I.M.E. program.

  • École Centrale de Lyon
  • École Centrale Marseille
  • École Centrale de Nantes
  • École Centrale de Lille

T.I.M.E. program objectives

The primary objective of the program is bicultural education within the framework of bilateral cooperation between associated universities, leading to a double diploma. A longer stay at the partner university (2 years) and studying in the partner's language is to provide better knowledge of the culture and customs of a given country. It is assumed that in the case of positive experiences, the foreign graduate will be an active ambassador of the partner country in their own country and beyond.

General principles of the program

Thanks to mutual trust and agreed programs, students who complete part of the study program at the partner university obtain a double diploma: from the home university and the partner university.

The program assumes extending the standard studies by 1 year (4 years at the home university and 2 at the partner university), studying in the partner's language and treating foreign students equally with domestic students.

Who can take part in the T.I.M.E. program?

Students of engineering majors completing their first cycle of studies or starting their second cycle of studies at a university that is a member of the T.I.M.E. Association have the opportunity to take part in the program and obtain two diplomas, from the home university and the partner university.

Students interested in the program are required to complete part of their studies at the host university, a member of the T.I.M.E. Association, which has concluded a mutual cooperation agreement with AGH. The list of universities is available in the DWZ.

What makes the T.I.M.E. program attractive?

The main advantages of the T.I.M.E. program result from the assumed goals, developed and proven rules of procedure and the results achieved so far. So far, it is the only one in Europe that allows for a relatively small time cost (extending your studies by 1 year) to get to know more deeply the culture and customs of another country, the value of its education system. And all this is crowned with two diplomas that increase your chances of employment on the European labor market.
