The 3rd edition of the International School at AGH University – Cursos de Verano en AGH Universidad de Cracovia

The 3rd edition of the International School at AGH University – Cursos de Verano en AGH Universidad de Cracovia – has officially begun!

During the opening ceremony, Vice-Rector for Education, Prof. Krzysztof Mendrok, welcomed nearly 40 students from Latin America participating in the summer edition of the NAWA SPINAKER project “Third Edition of the International School at AGH University – Cursos de Verano en AGH Universidad de Cracovia.” Students from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Panama, Peru, and Venezuela have come to Krakow to develop their competencies, gain new academic experiences, and build international networks.

The International School reflects AGH University’s commitment to internationalization, high-quality education, and intercultural cooperation. This edition of the project includes two Intensive International Education Programmes (IMPK):

• Catalysis, Catalysts, Methods of Characterisation and Application Opportunities

• Environmental Sociology and Social Issues in Post-Mining Areas

As part of the project, participants have also completed a Technical English course, while AGH academic staff enhanced their teaching competencies through STEM methodology training.

During the meeting, presentations on the courses being delivered were given by Prof. Dariusz Wojakowski, Vice-Dean for Cooperation and Student Affairs at the Faculty of Humanities, and Dr. Eng. Bogdan Samojeden, Vice-Dean for Education at the Faculty of Energy and Fuels.

The summer edition of the project is implemented with the involvement of three AGH faculties:

• Faculty of Humanities

• Faculty of Energy and Fuels

• Faculty of Metals Engineering and Industrial Computer Science

The project is implemented under the program of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange - SPINAKER - Intensive International Education Programs. It is financed entirely from the European Fund for Social Development 2021-2027 (FERS) and is implemented as "Support for the creation and implementation of international education programs", project number FERS.01.05-IP.08-0436/23.
