The Erasmus program has had a very high priority in the student education system at the AGH University of Krakow for many years.
The Erasmus program is and will continue to be a significant element of the student education system that is constantly being developed at our University.
The mobility of AGH students, especially within the new edition of the Erasmus Program for the years 2014-2020, is closely aligned with the modernized student education system at our University at three levels of study: engineering, master's and doctoral.
All current, and especially new, ideas associated with the new edition of the Erasmus Program are very much in line with the directions and programs of study already adopted at our University, as well as the prospects for the further development of these programs.
In addition to student mobility, the mobility of our University's employees within the Erasmus Program is also of great importance. It is constantly being developed and expanded.Employee mobility is perceived as a significant factor in the development and modernization of the curricula implemented at our University.
Of no small importance in the further implementation of the Erasmus Programme is the strengthening of ties not only within the European Community, but also in Eastern Europe and in selected countries of Asia and Latin America. The response to these challenges is the new contacts undertaken by AGH and the expanded base of student education in foreign languages and in the form of e-learning.
Mutual exchange of experiences in the field of teaching, science, as well as transfer and promotion of new technologies are and will remain the highest priority for our University.
All formal matters related to the efficient functioning of the mobility of AGH students and employees as well as international student exchange are coordinated at our University by two mutually cooperating departments, i.e. the Department of International Cooperation belonging to the cooperation department and the Department of Teaching belonging to the education department. This activity is supported by the Erasmus Student Network organization.
Countries and geographical regions.
In addition to the broadly developed mobility within the Erasmus Programme, currently covering 26 European countries, cooperation in the field of student and employee exchange is being expanded in accordance with the spirit of the new idea of the Erasmus Programme.
Our particular interests are directed towards Eastern Europe, as evidenced by the extensive exchange of students with Ukraine, including education in the double diploma system. We are expanding cooperation with Russia, Belarus and Kazakhstan.
In recent years, AGH University has also established cooperation in the field of exchange of both students and employees with Singapore and Latin American countries.Expanding contacts with countries from all over the world is a growing trend and a high priority at our University.
