Mentoring Programme

A mentoring programme carried out as part of the ‘Welcome to Poland 2025’ project. Its aim is to connect students (Mentees) with AGH graduates (Mentors) who wish to share the knowledge and experience they have gained in the labour market.

The mentoring programme is a key element of AGH’s efforts to build and develop relationships with the university’s international alumni community. It is a natural continuation of the two previous editions of the mentoring programme, which were successfully carried out by the AGH Career Centre for Polish participants. The mentoring programme offers an opportunity to forge links between students and international alumni of the University working in similar sectors. The aim of the programme is to provide a platform for international AGH alumni (acting as Mentors), who wish to share their knowledge and experience gained in the labour market, to meet with students (Mentees) who are seeking to chart their career paths.

Mentoring

Mentoring is based on an individual Mentor–Mentee relationship. The mentor shares their knowledge, experience and insights gained in the labour market, supporting the mentee in:

  • setting career goals,
  • planning their career path,
  • developing professional and interpersonal skills,
  • gaining an understanding of the realities of the labour market,
  • building confidence in making career decisions.

Mentors – International graduates of AGH

International graduates of AGH are foreign nationals who have completed at least one semester of study at AGH as part of a scholarship or academic exchange programme, have completed first- or second-cycle or third-cycle studies at AGH, or Polish citizens who, after completing their studies in Poland (at AGH) went abroad and have been living there for at least half a year.

Mentees – undergraduates and PhD students

Mentees may be AGH students on first- and second-cycle programmes, as well as PhD students, regardless of their nationality.

Duration of the edition: 01.05.2026 - 30.06.2027

2nd edition of the mentoring programme
